Reclaiming Giant Air Pipes: The T. Bailey Offices

Developed by Tom Kundig of Seattle's Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen Architects Office, T. Bailey's office is designed to fully enter into the client's products office space and a giant pipe products are used in wind turbine towers. In fact, some are used by 11,700 square meters of space, where visitors walk through the building and immediately walked to the main office through a large 14-foot pipe and up to another 22-foot diameter pipe. Apart from the aesthetic wild, the pipes are still serving many of their intended destination, drawing warm air from the office space up through the ladder pipe and out of the building. Between natural cooling and solar-powered design, creative design is truly gone out of the way to keep the green theme as possible. [via]
