This Modern Apartments is design by BVN Architecture. I really like the Flow Apartments by BVN. The white clean wave like lines are what really make this structure. The modern landscaping is another element that I can grab some inspiration from.
Flow involves 8 “terrace-style” houses (3 & 4 bedrooms over 2 stories) to the riverfront boundary with a 7 storey apartment building located on the rear street boundary facing the river. A large open space that results between the buildings offers recreation spaces including reflection and swimming pools and large shaded lawn spaces.

Koerner Hall by KPMB Architects
Koerner Hall is deisng by KPMB Architects. It located in Toronto, Canada. The design of the 1135-seat concert hall is based on the classic shoe-box shape of some of the world’s finest concert halls, and features two balcony tiers above the main orchestra level, and a third technical balcony. Juxtaposed against the shoebox form of the hall, the wood balcony fronts and curving walls create a warm, sculpted ‘liner’ within the rectangular form. Sightlines and adjustable acoustics allow for a broad range of concert types including live televised broadcast.
The signature element is the ‘veil’ of undulating oak ‘strings’. The ‘veil’ forms the backdrop for the chorus at the first balcony level, then hovers over the stage below the fixed acoustic canopy, extending into and over the hall at the technical balcony level. The strings act as part of the acoustic reflection when under the canopy, and then become acoustically transparent over the rest of the space. Balcony fronts and seats, as well as the hall floors are natural oak, contrasted against undulating black plaster panels that line the hall and resonate the dark stone that wraps the exterior of the Hall.

Sustainable California House by John Friedman Alice Kimm Architects
Sustainable architecture is the future of home design. This California house designed by a sustainable architecture firm, John Friedman Alice Kimm Architects, encapsulates cool, contemporary living in its modern design with attention equally doles out to aesthetics and environmental sustainability. The pond also serves to cool warm air before it enters the house through the floor-to-ceiling windows. A concrete floor absorbs and stores the sun’s heat, which passively regulates the cooler night-time temperatures.

Madrona Residence by Vandeventer + Carlander Architects
Madrona Residence is design by Vandeventer + Carlander Architects. It located in Seattle, Washington. Sited on a narrow thirty-five foot urban lot, the house design maximizes access to natural light and views yet maintains privacy.
Designed for a young couple, the wife desired to live at “grade” and the husband to “dwell” in the sky. The plan evolved with public living spaces on the ground floor, private bedrooms on the second, and a shared office opening onto rooftop desks on the third. A linear floor plan allows for a very efficient layout and a compact service core. The south facade features large expanses of glass and is protected by a cedar sun screen. Materials used include clear cedar siding and fibre cement panels.

Hamburg Philharmonic concert hall by Herzog + de Meuron
Hamburg Philharmonic concert hall is design by Herzog + de Meuron. The new concert hall will tower 300 feet atop a massive triangular shaped brick warehouse crowned with an undulating, curvaceous, inclined glass structure that evokes alluring nautical imagery not unlike that which surrounds it. As a concert hall, music certainly takes precedence in this structure. To ensure outstanding acoustics, the grand auditorium hall was been designed in collaboration with Yasuhisa Toyota, who has worked on numerous world-renowned concert halls including the Suntory Hall in Tokyo.
Hamburg in fact hosts the second largest port in Europe and despite its position as a commercial and financial pole, the city is pocketed with numerous poor, run-down neighborhoods with immigrant populations hailing from Eastern Europe, Turkey and Afghanistan – not quite the demographic that spends money on concerts and luxury hotel rooms.

Modern California Home by John Friedman Alice Kimm Architects
The LA Times recently featured the fabulous home in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Santa Monica, California, aptly dubbed King House. This palatial home – truly fit for a king – was designed by John Friedman Alice Kimm Architects with an eye for detail and a modern twist. Inspired by light permeating leafy trees, the home’s unique exterior of green and white is a fitting introduction to this fresh, modern design. The house itself is positioned at the back of the lot, providing plenty of greenspace while highlighting the home’s interesting L-shaped configuration.
Expansive windows and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors flood this large space with the warm daylight, while a front outdoor patio invites al fresco living. Inside, this four-bedroom, four-bathroom home boasts lots of cool surprises – a great kitchen with a skylight; a comfortable yet professional home office; a temperature-controlled wine cellar tucked under the stairwell; a luxurious spa-inspired master bathroom; and of course, the outdoor living spaces with priceless views.
